hey guys, im in the middle of swapping my L03 to an L31, and i have the engine and trans mated outside the car

my problem is that the inboard starter bolt won't go into the l31 properly. it's a rebuilt motor, and i'm just using my old starter, which has inline bolts

You need a different starter that fits the bolt pattern for L31 engine.

Go buy one for 1996-1999 GM truck. Then return your OEM one for the core return.

okay, wasn't sure if the bolt hole would have the right threads or if it was just gummed up with rust, thanks
