If you're eliminating the computer from the equation (ie. going to a traditional carb) then you want a large cap HEI dist with a vacuum advance. The first picture is a large cap but I do not see a vacuum advance. So as far as your pictures...neither.

Super easy. The connectors from the distributor go to the cap. The coil needs 12v key on power. You can hook a tach wire eight to ground of the coil. The coil cover is labeled for you.

Yep large cap HEI with vac advance like your last picture.,
Easiest one to wire up... The 3 wires, single plug from dist body plugs into the cap.
Look at your 1st pic, on the part that sticks out.. See where it says "tach" and "Bat" Plug your tach wire onto the one marked tach and run a 12 volt switched wire with female spade connector to the one marked "Bat" and you will be all wired up.
You can pull your 12 volt switched from OEM coil power wire, tie in at wiper motor, run wire from fuse box, etc.
