1983 Z28 Crossfire into 83 Z28 5speed
So I recently picked up a nice running 83 Z28 with Crossfire Injection for under $1000 because its needing a tranny rebuild, I'd seen a few Corvettes with CFI at car shows and I thought it was cool idea.
Anyway turns out that when looking at it in the middle of a snow storm (Bad Idea, I Know) I missed some damage on the core support that was disguised by some interesting body work.
So in shopping around for a donor front end I found a nice roller 83 Z28 with a nice body and a 5-speed needing a motor.
So my question is can I just swap the CFI 305 and harness into the 5speed car and have it work or should I just get a manifold and carb and slap on it and then stick it in?
So basically I want to build the CFI 5speed Z28 that Chevy never made...
Thanks,
Tye

It sounds completely do able to me.
I don't have any first hand experience, but a lot of people have put manuals behind a TPI 350(which never existed from the factory either).
Swap your engine and the appropriate wiring, then get the memcal reprogrammed to reflect a manual trans.
