Can I use ECM from a 305 TPI to a 350 TPI?

Transmission: Automatic (700R4)
Axle/Gears: 3.23
Can I use ECM from a 305 TPI to a 350 TPI?

Plan on getting a 350 TPI from an 89 Firebird. Can I use my 87 ECM from a 305 on the 89 350 TPI? Also what about the prom?

the 87 and 89 both use the 1227165 the 87 does not have vats but the 89 memcal does so this will need to reprogramed out or bypassed with a hz modulator. you will need the 22#hr injectors from the 89 and if you use the 89 350 memcal you will not need the ninth injector.

I am a noob so i am lost. I plan on getting a new prom for the 350, will that solve everything? Also what do you mean ninth injector? Are you talking about fuel injectors?

The 350 memcal will solve the running issues, but the 88 up 350 memcals contain a security feature (vats) that will need to be bypassed in order to get the injectors too fire.
The 89 memcal for tpi uses programing to control the injectors for cold starting, 85-88 use a fuel injector that is on the drivers side in the runner called the ninth injector. this can be unplugged when you use a 89 memcal.
