Re: 350 heads

I got these and I am very happy with them. Aluminum would be nice but I really don't want to put a lot of cash into this car.

Free shipping.

The only real issue I had was the intake bolts. The intake gasket that came with them was very thick and I did not get much thread engagement. So I ended up getting some some 2 inch bolts from mcmaster and a set of thick washers to have one under each bolt. Both high strength and cheaper than a set from jegs with about 3/8" more thread engagement.

Stuff like this will blow Vortecs out of hte water and make camel hump 350s look like iron dukes.
Yeah you're probably right. I will just have to delay my Camaro being on the road, but hey it will be worth it right?

Ok-ish, but expensive for what they are.

Re: 350 heads

So Trickflow heads are the way to go? And I am the opposite of a hot rodder. I like having the correct motor, tranny and looks.

All the aftermarket sbc heads by major companies are good. As long as it's not "Pro Comp" they're generally great products. AFR's are the most popular these days, but Trickflow, AFR, Brodix, Profiler, and Dart seem to all make good stuff. Avoid Edelbrock and Pro Comp. I dont know that i've ever heard anyone say Trickflow is better than any other head, though. Refer to my chart of sbc head flowrates.

http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sum...low%2023%20Deg

Most of the good aftermarket heads are fairly close to each other.

Then stop making threads about heads and motor and shove an lg4 into it.
