1989 camaro 5.3 swap fuel system help
Hello all. I just bought my 89 a few weeks ago. It was a 305 a4 car and the previous owner installed a 350 and put all the 305 tbi on the new 350 (didn't run very well). I just did a carb swap to get it running good again and look good under the hood. When I removed the fp from the tank I did the trap door and had to cut the fuel lines... Well a week later im starting to get ready for the swap lol. Question is... Can I just use compression fittings on the cut lines and hook up AN fittings? Im thinking im going to run http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-220783/ twist tite fuel line and the summit brand fittings. I will run it from the compression fitting all the way to where the factory fuel filter is and put another compression fitting there, and do the same thing in the engine bay. I will be using the corvette fuel filter as the filter and reg. Is there a better fitting for this job?
Another question i had is can i use the 3/8 vent hose that whent to the charcole can as my return? Do i need to install a hose on the sending unit so that the fuel doesnt free fall from the top of the tank?
I plan on running this FP http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AEI-11142/
A little info on my swap... 2001 5.3L iron block with wiring harness pcm and 4l60e Complete drop out from truck... I plan on running the truck acc. untill i can get a good deal on some f body acc. with a car intake. I will be buying the motor mounts but will make a crossmember to work. I will be moding the wiring harness myself.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: 1989 camaro 5.3 swap fuel system help
the swap you're doing is nearly identical to an LS1 swap, just different intake and accessories. you're going to find all the info you need and more in the LTx/LSx swap forum:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-lsx/
pocket has a great part list for everything you need to do an AN/braided setup, I followed it exactly without issue.
