1989 2.8v6 to 1989 5.0v8 tpi help needed!!!!
Hi just torn out my old 2.8 v6 out of my 1989 firebird and fitted a 1989 ish? 5.0 tpi maf model including engine loom and ecm.Should it just plug in and run or am i gonna get some wiring issues????I have no spark or fuel to the cylinders,though the engines turns over on the key and the fuel pump primes the system everything else seems to work.Has anyone done the swap and had probems???engine was running in the doner car.Really need some help on this one please.I have a volt meter so can check for voltage,just dont know where to start.Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

where you're going to have issues is the c207 connector inside the car on the passenger side and the c100 connector on the firewall on the driver side; these connectors vary from year to year, engine to engine. part of the c100 connector goes directly to the fuse box, which would explain why you're not getting power to anything on the engine. take a look around here for the diagrams you need:
