But my name is joey im 16 and i was refered by a friend at ricekiller to join this site.
I love hotrods and building them!!
I just currently aquired a 86' third gen!
My plans on this build are to swap a first gen 383 sbc into it with a holley stealth ram mpfi and a f3 procharger along with all supporting mods.
I am currently collecting parts for my build and here is my parts list......

Pistons: KB IC9945-030 Dish, 4 valve relief ,19.60cc head volume, forged
Crank: Manley 190150 pro series, Clearence for 383 stroker, Forged 4340
Rods: Callies csa6000ds2a2ah 6.00, Forged 4340, Clearenced for stroker
Cam: Comp Xtreme Energy Kit K12-246-3 487/490 lift, 274/286 Duration
SuperCharger: Procharger F3
EFI: Holley 91603201 HP stealth ram
Injectors: TrickFlow tfs-89072 72lbs injectors
Headers: Hooker 2460hkr Competition shorty headers
Muffler’s: Dynomax 24215 Race Bullets
Cutouts: DMH 2025DF Dual 2.5 w/ Flowtech y pipe
I will be having my block bored at Denise wells racing and I will also be having them port, polish, and flow bench my heads to!
I want to hit the 1000whp mark on around 30psi and a 150 shot
Please tell me what you think I will post pics later

What I can only assume he means is that your shopping list is quite a large and expensive one. And forgive my forwardness, but I would venture to say that you are pretty wealthy in order to have that money laying around. Unless you are simply dreaming as jkrustchinsky seems to be implying. If it's the former, please keep us updated. And remember, no matter what you do, on Thirdgen, if there are no pictures, it didn't happen.

And forgive more forwardness if you will, but if you have the money to make this Christmas list come true, why stroke a first gen SBC? A newer version seems more up your alley...

I just happen to be a motocross fan. Tend to ride a little too
Where in TX are you? Don't worry about the neighbors, I used to live near Killeen, and mine were the same.lol
And I understand you on the GEN I, my car came with one and it just happened to be a 4-bolt so I'll run her 'til she squeals.

Re: Sasha the 86' camaro build
Ok so my friend talked me into atleast looking at a twin turbo setup and i figure i would give it a shot even know i think they are way too complicated for my tiny brain..... What size turbos would i need to hit the 1000whp mark on a 383 stroker with 8:1 compression ??

It would be way cheaper to go with an Iron Block Lsx... Set it up for a carb, and throw a turbo on with supporting mods of course... Will you hit the 1000 hp mark? No! But it seems more around your ball park, and it will be a fast mfer.

LQ4 & LQ9 used the same block. Only differences were cam & pistons.
The LSX block is made for big power. Most likely the LQ4/9 block would hold 1000 HP, but I couldn't tell you its max capability. From my quick searches it appears aftermarket rods and forged pistons are all people are doing to handle boosted LQ4/9 power. There were many references to aluminum blocks in the 1000 HP range as well.
BTW, looking back at your original list, 2460HKR shorty headers and 1000 RWHP are completely incompatible.
Out of curiosity, what's the most power you've even had control of? 1000 RWHP is a completely different game than 250cc bikes.

Re: Sasha the 86' camaro build
I'm just gonna throw this out there; take it or leave it!
Wouldn't it be really neat to take an engine you already have (which looks pretty nice, by the way), the car you already have (which looks like a dead dog lying in your yard) and put them together so that you can drive it around? It would probably make your mom a lot happier, and you wouldn't have to mow around it!
Seriously, I am NOT trying to shoot your ONE THOUSAND rear wheel horsepower goal in the lung, but I do want to put an idea or two in your head.
If you put the old 86 (Sasha) back on the road, you can begin to deal with lots of the issues that are going to come soon. If you plan on driving this car at all, you will need to upgrade the brakes, right? Well, if your car is running and driving, its MUCH easier to get all of that done and test it out. The same goes with suspension, and then steering.
Next, you'll want to drive your car over to the body shop, have them put it on the frame rack and wrench it back as straight as you can get it. Then install your frame ties.
Then you'll need to re-do your rear suspension, and find what rear axle you're going to put in to handle real high horsepower.
You can see where I'm going, right? A thousand horsepower is useless if the rest of the car can't handle it and it just blows apart! That RX-7 is high powered, but it won't have the torque output that your killer V8 will, and you will need the chassis, rear end, and brakes to back it up.
Just a thought!
Have fun!

Re: Sasha the 86' camaro build
Seems like 1000hp is an unrealistic goal. I always felt that 500-650 was good enough to be fast in these car since they are so lightweight.
Why not go big block instead?
