85 Camaro Z28 [ENGINE SWAP]
i got a the car a year ago it has a 305 TBI
when i got the the guy had told me he had rebuild it but im not sure.
i was thinking it would be best to put a brand new motor instead of rebuilding it again and i would like some feedback on what kind would be best without having to replace alot of parts.
i know the transmission would have to for sure
would this be an alright engine? or should i go with something beefier?
im not into racing i just want it to run nice

Great looking car. Brings back memories. I think most guys will tell you that pre-85 engine with 2 piece seal is leak prone. I can't understand from your post whether your current engine runs fine, bad or not at all. If the rebuild was a quality one, and its running great now, leave it be. You have the reliable TPI setup that should be troublefree for a long time to come, unlike my orig car. By the way great looking car. Is that the orig paint?

If it's an '85, it didn't come from the factory with TBI.
It either came with TPI, or a carburetor.
