305 TBI to 350 TPI out of vette
i have an 88 firebird with the 305 tbi. i recently bought an 88 corvette with the 350 TPI. i am wanting to take the 350 and put it in my firebird.
just wondering how hard it will be and what all i need to take off the corvette. to get it running the corvette is a complete car so i would have wireing harness and other things needed just havent tackled this before. so any info would help. And one more quick thing someone told me to just put the 350 in and keep the TBI setup is that also an option.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
Do the whole TPI. I think you'll be happier.
I believe it would be best to use the front accessories off of your 305. And, you'll need to use the 305 oil pan (get a new oil pump as well - the Vette pump is different, and you shouldn't use an old pump when you've got the chance to put in a new one).
Unless your TBI in-tank electric pump has been replaced, you'll have to drop the tank and put a TPI pump back in.
You'll need all new exhaust. The Vette stuff won't fit, and the TBI exhaust system is restrictive (even to a 305, let alone a 350).

Re: 305 TBI to 350 TPI out of vette
the oil pump should i get one for the 305 or 350
also same for exhaust i guess get one that fits 305?
also everything accesory wise on front will bolt up?
i have replaced engines before in other cars just never tried to do an upgrade like this so any info is greatly appreciated
so would i need fuel lines and the computer from the vette or will that not fit.
right now im not trying to make the car the fastest thing just want to be able to drive it looking for cheapest route figured since i have the 350 tpi from vette might be cheaper than getting used 305
