Lt1 rod and crank plz help

Guys i need some info i just picked up a forged scat crank for the lt1 I'm rebuilding i also got some mgp forged rods to go with it but the problem i'm having is that with the bearings that are on the rods, the rods will not fit over the rod journals however if i remove the rod bearings they will fit I also tried to test fit the factory lt1 rods and bearings on the crank and the factory stuff fits just fine, so my question is do i just need to find a smaller rod bearing or is the whole rod and crank combo all wrong. I would really like to keep the crank as i got it pretty cheap.

There are two sizes of SBC rod journals used. Commonly called small and large journal crank / rods and they don't interchange
Early engines had 2.000 rod journals and late had 2.100
so probably your set is the small journal size that will only fit on a early (<'69) crank
