what dist gear?

im going to install a stock lt-1 roller cam in my engine, can i use my hei's distributor gear or not? my distributor is just a stock vac advance unit. thanks -art

How old is the distributor?

Most likely the gear will be okay, unless it's really early HEI.

Where did you get it?
