I am pulling a 5.7l TPI engine out of a 1987 IROC, any tips?

I want to pull the entire 5.7l engine out of a 1987 IROC-Z to put into my 1972 Blazer 4x4. do you have any tips and descriptions of ALL the stuff I need to pull out with it? For example, where is the VSS unit located? Also where would I find the MAF unit? More importantly, what exactly does the MAF look like? Where is the computer located inside? etc., etc,....

Thanks guys for any info!

Get the TPI Swappers Guide Book. That has everything you want to know.

Be sure to bring a set of torx bits to take the intake manifold off (and the rest of the TPI unit if you want to take it all apart instead of pulling it as a whole). Get the whole dual air intake snorkel, the alternator bracket (as the TPI one is different), throttle cable, transmission kickdown cable, cruise control cable and fuel lines. The MAF is attached to the dual air intake snorkel. Label every wire connector you pull so as it will be easier to connect everything when you put it in your car. You shouldn't have to cut the wiring harness at all even on the driver's side plug which just disconnects though you have to get at it from insie the car dash. Be sure just to take your time and everything should go smoothly. I have pulled a couple of these units so let me know if you need anymore help.

Where can I find a copy of the TBI/TPI swappers guide. I haven't been able to locate a copy of that anywhere!

Thanks...
