ZZ4

I am still finishing my car up but so far I love the ZZ4. I kept the 700R4 but you will need to have it built to take the new power if you are going to drive it hard.

l agree- my brother's got a 1987 berlinetta V-6 camaro with a ZZ4 crate in it. its matched with a 750 CFM BG Demon 4 bbl, and an RPM manifold my edelbrock, heddman hedders, 3 1/2 inch all the way back, it's got the original rblt 700R4, with a 3,000 RPM stall, and a competition shift kit. it was so powerful that we had to keep it under control with a set of comp T/A drag radials which it can still spin. the camaro will run consistant 13.2's all day long.

Very happy with it. It runs very strong Personally my aim is to make my car as fast as humanly possible with naturaly aspirated power. No NOS or s/charging for me. So far my best is 13.8 but I have a book full of excuses as to why that ain't its potential.
My 700r4 was re-built to take the power. I did run it stock for about 3000 miles, but I started getting slippage and it was a matter of time. Good luck, you wont be dissapointed.

Hey '86ZZ4! I have ssm lift bars which I haven't installed yet, heard horror stories about putting them on and ground clearance.. Have you any pics? Are you pleased with them? Are they the reason your rear end blew that time? Please let me know, I have been keeping an eye out for you for ages.
Thanks
