V8 to 3.6
I know why would you, but heres my thinking. The stock LT1 is 275hp but the new 3.6 is also 275hp and if you could get one from the camaro it's 300hp and it has got to be less weight being all alum. My 3.6 has a ton of kick in my acadia, Thoughts?

Re: V8 to 3.6
I assume it's a V6, if it is, I wouldn't do it without a turbo or supercharger, the V6 may make 275 hp, but the torque curve is probably not as flat, so it probably wouldn't be any faster, even with the weight reduction.

Re: V8 to 3.6
I like the 3.6L I've got in my G8, but there is no market for them yet, especially in the tuning area. You may have better luck if you're looking to grab one from the new Camaro, but I have a feeling things will be a bit expensive until there are more on the market. You're going into new territory with this one, so you're probably going to be doing a lot of fab work to get it to mount.
I do love my 5sp auto though. Tap shifting would be fun in a 3rd gen.....
