Want to swap my L98 for an LT1 .........

I Have an 89 Iroc with an l98 350 TPI motor and it siezed because of being flooded with water and a friend of mine has a few 1999 LT1 test motors with 50k on them will my TPI intake fit and will I need a new ECM, MAF, I am not exactly sure what all I will need to do this......

if you have the year correct 1999?it isn't a LT1 it's an LS1.GM went with the LS1 in 1998

Yes I had a talk with my friend last night and they are 1998 LTI's they are test motors and have never been in a vehicle.. I need to know what else MUST be changed to do the swap.....

no, yes, yes. You need to change almost everything. And the last year for the LT1 was 1997.

Transmission: 700R4 Full Manual Reverse
Axle/Gears: 3.91 Australian 9 Bolt
I have done this swap and it was pretty straight forward. If you do the swap you dont want to put the TPI intake on an LT1 block. The biggest shortcoming of the L98 was the intake. The LT1s have great intakes and can make Horsepower across the board. I suggest that you track down an LT1 with harness, computer and all.
