maximum power adder for LT1

I have a super small budget of 500$ to put on my 93 LT1 it's rated right now at 285 hp i would like to have around 310hp ...is there something cheap to do that. I'm not looking for gears, headers, catback or muffler add-ons. Maybe underdrive pulleys and a ram-air ??? Any idea folks ???

Hey mat i know you said you werent looking for catback but an edlebrock catback is only 275 from jegs and just might give what you want during the swap along with a pair of K&N filters and ramair, just run some ducting up to the factory airbox from the air vents in the bumper.

well if you want to add that much HP you have to be ready to do some work. I bought my flomaster cat back and installed by a muffler shop for only $330. Cat back is probably the first mod you should start with. Do that and buy a K&N air filter....total around $400 and that should give you about 20 HP.

Phoenix gold xs2300 to subs, kicker impulse 404XI to 4 speakers, pioneer DEH- P7000R head unit, and finally a 12 disc changer. Full leather interior from [URL=http://www.MrMikes.com[/URL](its nice)

TES Headers in the mail, and about to order a stage 2 fastchip.

I read in an old CHP issue that with a larger throttle body, the lt4 heads and the GMPP hot cam you're good for 400 hp.

I'll scan it and post it for ya, it has the dyno results for stock cam/tb and lt4 head; new TB and lt4 heads; and new tb, hot cam and lt4 heads.

Now I know its not that cheap to do this but I just had to tell ya about it.

Just the LT4 hotcam kit with the 1.6 roller rockers will give you about 330 hp for about $500
