zz4 camaro conversion kit or have a 350 rebuilt?
which will give me more bang for the buck? i don't want all that much horse power just enough to beat my dad's vett with and lt-1. so 350-375hp would be enough. what should i go with?
thanx for any help in advance

either would work, it'd be easy to get 400 hp out of your 350 with more or less off the shelf parts. the zz4 comes with a 36,000 mile or 3 year warrenty i believe.

Certainly one big advantage of the conversion kit is that it is entirely emissions legal. If you live in or might move to an area that has a strict inspection and testing system in place, you're in the clear.
Exactly what info do you need beyond what was said? You could build a 350 (do you already have one) with a nice cam, great heads, with a bullet-proof bottom end for less than the kit costs. The kit is complete (assuming you have an automatic), but could be improved with things like headers. And, subframe connectors should be assumed to help control that much power.
What exactly do you need to know?
For what it's worth, I consider 375 HP to be a LOT of power, at least compared to the 145 of the stock LG4, and what you need to do to harness it...

i am looking for what would be the cheapest way i can get that 375hp? i don't have the 350 yet but i can get one in a junkyard for about $500. and when i get that type of hp what else will i need to change. i don't have to worrie about any emisions. i am leaning more twards getting one rebuilt. and what would be the best heads, cam, carb, headers and exhaust to put on it? and what ever other important things i need that i left out. i am new to engines and everything that makes a car go fast so bear with me.

all depends on how much money you have. engine swaps can get very expensive when you are not doing the work, and even when you do the work. some type of estimate on how much money can help people give you some product ideas. and personally $500 for a 350 needing a rebuild is kind of high if you ask me. I paid $100 for a dipped and honed block with a new crank.

i think that ZZ4 conversion is like a LOT of money. bang for teh buck, there is NO WAY that it can be worth more than a rebuilt 350 form a junk yard.

I think you can go with the rebuilt 350 and get around 375 hp with the cost being less than the zz4. The zz4 is not rated at 375 horepower. Go for the rebuilt 350.
