Car: 1987 Firebird, Dad bought it new
Engine: 5.7L Vortec w/ LT4 Hot cam
Transmission: 700r4 transgo shiftkit 2600 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.42 '02 SS 6 spd rear
TPI throttle cable, injector, and harness Q's
can i mod the LG4 throttle cable and TV cable on my firebird to work on a TPI throttlebody or do i have to buy new cables?
will LT1 injectors fit the TPI intake and are they bigger then the 19lb ones that came with it? is there a cheaper route?
does anyone know of a company that still mods harnesses to be plug and play with the car, i have no idea how to "repin" a wiring harness and i feel like id spend the whole rest of the year trying to figure it out so if i could pay a couple hundred to be able to plug and play it would be well worth it, thanks for any and all help
oh yeah if someone knows what they are doin and wants to come help me thatd be great too

Re: TPI throttle cable, injector, and harness Q's
Its easier to buy TPI throttle and TV cables than attempting to mod them
LT1 injectors are a direct swap. 24lbs if i remember right. 305 TPI had 19lbs, 350 TPI had 22lbs
Speartech mods harnesses and dozens of companies make new ones, but for a simple TPI into a TPI year fbody, why bother. Buy a used TPI harness for an 87 and plug it right up at 1/4 the price
You cannot repin a carb harness to a TPI harness unfortunately. You can however mod a V6 harness to TPI for pennies on the dollar. The sensors are moved all around and there are two extra injector connectors
