I am getting a 350 put in my 88 GTA (originally 305) by my local Pontiac dealer, around $3000.

I put a 350 in my 92RS, you don't need to change the transmission. I bought a used corvette 350, had it cammed, lightweight flywheel, and put in an MSD ignition and distributor. Total bill came to 2200 for motor and everything else that had to be done.
