L98 TPI Swap to 1998 S-10 Blazer

I have an 98 Blazer I want to put a TPI L98 into.

Does anyone have information on comuter and wireing harness needed to make this swap.
Can an LT1 computer run this swap with modifications and what would the mod's be? Including to run the transmission and the dash.
Is there any site that would have info on this type of conversion?

Google V8 S10 or S10 V8. A friend of mine used a 98 C1500 truck computer and wiring harness in his S10 and it worked fine. transmission and dash should function correctly also.

Re: L98 TPI Swap to 1998 S-10 Blazer

I am looking do the same swap into a 1996 blazer 4X4.

I called up EFI connection and was told they really could not build me a harness and current wiring does wiring swaps for s10 v8 conversions , but I looked them up and they do not do a tpi into an obd2 s10 truck, only lt1 and lsx swaps that are already obd2 engines.

Anyone know how we could make this work ?

I have also read something about a chevy express van PCM for an obd2 tpi swap ???

I know I want a TPI over a LT1, but thats just me

thanks in advance !

if its a 96 then possibly the easiest way would be to use the motor from a 96-98 c/k1500 with a V8. its computer and wiring harness should plug directly into what u have now and your accessories are the same. then swap over a TPI intake manifold with a Vortec base. it could work.

Well I got to thinking and what about this?

Get any 350 sb chevy then convert it to a obd2 engine?

Put the vortec relcuctor wheel on the cranck and get a timming chain cover with a crank angle sensor on it then put a vortec distribter on it. Put a tpi intake manifold on top of it. Then I would use a V8 96 vortec wiring harness and convert that spider unit plug into individual injector plugs and then just convert the tps sensor.

This would work right ???
