There is no kit. Go to the Engine Swap forum. Read this thread there: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...swap-read.html

Re: 2.8 liter to 5.7

so basicly it would be easier to just find a v8 model than to change this v6 sport

Re: 2.8 liter to 5.7

yeah i guess i traded a 1979 c10 pickup for my camaro and im stuck with it for now

one thing that bothers me is that they make a performance chip for a fuel injected 2.8 liter of this year but mine not am i missing something or is there a prom in it
----------
i mean do they make chips for a carburated engine ?

Re: 2.8 liter to 5.7

I did the 3.1 FI to a 350 Carb swap in a 92 RS. It does take a little money, patience, and ingenuity, but it can be done. What's great is that there are so many parts for the third gen Camaros alot of time can be saved. The most consuming part was the wiring- I bought a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro shop manual (the dealer repair manual) on eBay so that I could identify the wires I would keep and those I would disconnect.

Plan ahead before buying parts- make sure you have everything figured out. You'll save yourself headaches!
