i read the thread but i need specific information like what kind of engine mounts do i use and where can i get them from. i do have two mounts already bolted to the motor from whatever it came out of, i am putting a 700-r4 in place of the th200 will i be able to use the driveshaft and what about the crossmember and tranny mount, i have already ran and electric fuel pump so i do not have any fuel problems, can i use my ignition coil i already have on the 2.8 and just plug it up to the v8 distributor or what.

Likewise, we need specific information:
What did the engine come out of? What do the mounts on it look like? Paragraph 11 of the sticky talks about what the V8 f-body mounts look like.
The TH700R-4 transmission is longer than the TH200C. The crossmember mounts in a different location, and is therefore different than the TH200C crossmember. Likewise, the torque arm and driveshaft are different lengths. You need to get those pieces from a 3rd gen that had a TH700R-4 or T5 transmission. The TH700R-4 you get has to have the torque arm mount, unless you get a swap crossmember/torque arm from Board sponsor Spohn.
Whether you can use the V6 coil depends upon what kind of distributor your V8 has. Since you didn't provide any information on that, can't tell you. '75-'86 V8 distributors had the coil built into the distributor cap. '55-'74 and '87-later V8 distributors had the coil separate from the distributor.
What year is your car?
We're more than happy to help you, but we can't do much for you when all you provide are generalities.

it is a 1983 camaro with a carbureted 2.8. i have a 307 i do not know what the engine came out of but it was produced from 68-72 i have the long block built up with intake on it.the 700r4 come out of a pontiac perisienne(basically a caprice with pontiac badging) i do not have a distributor yet so what kind can i use to utilize the existing ignition coil. the coil is not mounted on the distributor on the 2.8

Most likely the mounts on the engine won't work. You'll need the later type mounts. They were used in many different types of vehicles, most anything mid-80's to -90's should work.
The easiest distributor to use is a cap-in-coil vacuum/mechanical advance HEI type. You can get them new fairly cheap from Summit and other sources. Hook up the power and tach wires from your existing coil, you're ready to go. A distributor that could use your coil would end up costing you more, most likely, although you can find cheap small-cap vacuum/mechanical advance distributors on eBay and other places. www.summitracing.com, compare SUM-850001R (built-in coil) to SUM-850205 (uses your coil). Any particular reason you're so attached to your V6 coil?
You'll either need a tailshaft housing from an f-body transmission (I happen to have one I could trade), or the previously-mentioned Spohn swap crossmember & torque arm that attaches the torque arm to the crossmember (a much better set-up than the factory, but the factory set-up is adequate for most applications).
