L31 engine build
Building a 350 based off of the L31 vortec block. I've got a holley steath ram, SDPC vortec heads, LT4 hot cam, and custom chip. What do you guys think about this setup? I'm only switching out the shortblock (which was a 2bolt 355) for the L31. Will i have to reprogram the computer? Also im thinking about reusing the cam, what are some other better cam options? (that wouldnt require the computer to be reprogrammed?)

Changing out the shortblock, retaining everything else including the cam, won't require any reprogramming.
Curious why you're doing this.

Re: L31 engine build
The motor had a rod knock but we never found any spun bearings. Any way thats getting replaced with the new L31 shortblock and my neighbor thinks I should get a new cam and says I can't reuse it. Visually it looks fine though. I'm thinking like 400hp with this setup and good exhaust.
