The blower should work, but you may have to get the mounting brackets for the older engine. I believe the LT1 has the mounting holes a little off (for the extra brackets) than a standard SBC.

The supercharger itself will work (I know a guy who has one on an '85 Trans Am TPI) but the brackets are different. If you just get the brackets for a 3rdgen F-body you should be fine.

Even if it would bolt to your engine, from the research i've done for wanting to put a blower on an LT1 thirdgen, im quite sure, that it wouldnt fit due to the location of the steering box, i've never actually tried to bolt one on personally, but i've researched it a decent bit and im quite confident there just isnt enough room to get it installed.

He doesn't have an LT1 in his car - the supercharger kit he's considering getting for his car is meant for an LT1 f-body.

Thats why I said "even if it would bolt to your engine"
Im saying that either way, reguardless of the block, im very sure the mounting location using the LT1 kits bracketry will not allow fitment into a thirdgen with the steering box.

Re: Lt1 Experts inside for some help....
What kind of accessories are you running? Im kind of confused what you combo is, and what type of intake you have. If Im not mistaken the blower mounts rather high so I wouldnt think fitment would be a problem, I would think it's more like accessory drive and intake type.
If it's an LT1 blower in a thirdgen with a gen 1, then you need to use a bracket for the type accessories on the car. Im assuming it's a TPI intake...so a TPI blower would be best.

Re: Lt1 Experts inside for some help....
No. LT1's have different accessories, different drive coming off the crank. U need a TPI bracket, I assume you have the pre-88 style?
I bet you could make a blower kit for a 1987 305 TBI car work REALLY well. Just swap the head unit.

Re: Lt1 Experts inside for some help....
Crank pully will be different since the LT1 uses a different type of crank hub/pully unit, you'll need to use a pully for a gen 1 SBC.
