help! Choosing a good engine to rebuild
Hey guys,
I currently have a lg-4 305 and it is time to rebuild or swap. I don't want to waste money on a 305 and i want to keep the the carb. What engine should i look for, older models or maybe an LT-1 with a new intake maifold for a carb? Money is an issue, I would prefer to buy used and rebuild then buy new. any and all suggestions would help. thanks.

350 shortblock under the LG4 equipment - easy. Ask me how I know. . .
LT1 carb - a much more difficult and expensive swap. You also give up the good mix of power, economy, and driveability with the LT1 system.
Only the former will be emissions-friendly, if that's an issue.
