Im looking to replace the TPI 305 with a New Crate 350, what is a popular engine, and does anyone have estimates on price and time?

Are you planning on doing the work, or having a shop do it? Makes a big difference in any price or time estimates.
Here's a pretty decent package if you want to keep the TPI and want good power 360 HP TPI Vortec Custom High Performance Series Street and Strip Engine :: SD360VTPI - SDPC . You'll need headers, aftermarket runners, 22 lb injectors, and larger TB to get the power they advertise.
If all you're looking for is a basic 350, a lot of people have gone with this one 290HP / 350 Long Block Pre-Emissions GM Crate Engine :: 12499529 - SDPC . TPI would knock the stated power down slightly.

I'm eyeing the Golen 405hp /492 tq 383.
Keep in mind that if you get an engine with vortec heads, you are going to have to modify the headers/manifold for the EGR intake tube.

The 290 horse Goodwrench engine has the '86-earlier intake mount bolt pattern so you'll have to elongate the center two bolt holes on each side to get the TPI base to fit. Or, try to trade someone yours for an '86-earlier version.
It also has the '85-earlier 2-piece rear main seal, which uses a different flexplate than you've got. About $20 for a new Pioneer one from the chain parts stores.
Other than that, you'll need intake and water pump gaskets (~$50 or less), and 350 knock sensor and module (about $100-$130 or so).
There's also this engine 1991-93 Chevrolet, Cadillac B & D (L05)(5.7K) :: 12513151 - SDPC . Your base and flexplate would bolt right to it, and it has a roller lifter cam in it (unless it's a rebuilt, in which case it will have a flat tappet cam in it). You'd still need the gaskets and knock sensor & module.

The only thing to consider about that engine....it that the L05 heads are absolute garbage, as is the cam. It would probably run like his existing 305...if not worse
