ZZ4 block and fuel injection (TBI)
Can a GM TBI system be easily hooked up on a ZZ4 Short Block? I mean, is there anything in regards to sensors, etc, on the "newer" fuel injection Gen 1 engine blocks that are missing on the ZZ4 block?

That won't be your problem. The two main issues (other than exhaust and fuel flow) are mounting the TBI manifold on the '86-earlier intake bolt pattern of the ZZ4 aluminum heads, and PROM tuning for the increased displacement and more radical cam.
TBI forum is probably the better place to look.
