VSS wiring into 1993 LT1 computer

Ive searched but it seems as though everyone is swaping LT1's in with a 94 or 95 LT1....

Ive yet to see a 93' swapped in, so I cant find an answer to my questions. So if anyone knows PLEASE PLEASE chime in.

My engine is a 1993 LT1 with a 1993 harness and Computer....

I never did this swap...previous owner had shop do it so all the wiring is new to me.

VSS is connected....as far as I know (i unplugged it from the trans)......I need to know where on a 1993 LT1 computer it plugs into......1993 computers are different then the 94 and 95 computers.

Everyone seems to have problems with VSS on 94 and 95 engines with the 700R4 BUT if im incorrect (and please correct me if I am) 1993 LT1's all came with the 4L60 which is just GM's other name for the 700R4.......it was not until 94' when it became the 4L60E and the new 94 PCM required a signal from an electronic trans..........so what Im getting at is.....

My 700R4 and my 1993 LT1 SHOULD work flawless when connected properly......right? As this is a factory engine and trans combo in 1993 only.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so...

1. Should VSS be connected to 93' LT1 computer or to the 90' Computer in the dash????

2. With VSS connected to the computer (which ever) engine should run perfect with no stumbling right?? (mine runs awsome which makes me think VSS is properly installed)

3. With VSS installed correctly the Torque Converter Clutch should automatically lock up at highway speeds???

4. Does anyone have a 1993 diagram for the LT1 computer that would show where the VSS is connected to.....and how I go from that connection to my speedometer connector (speedo is a no go)....though the 93' computer has a green wire labled (speedometer) just wrapped around and hanging near it.

THANK YOU EVERYONE

I personally have no clue, but I'll bump this back to the top in the hope that it gets visibility and answers.

the wire that has speedometer should go to the speedo wire the stock VSS was connected to. the '93 PCM controls the speedo, not the VSS. and why do you still have the '90 ECM in the car? There's no reason you should still have it in the car.

Im pretty sure its just "there" meaning its not in use..... I didnt do this whole conversion....it was done about 5 yrs ago and they just choose not to connect the speedo....the harness is a 93/harness with the 90 spliced in...im pretty sure as there is alot of connections not used...

Can anyone tell me about speed density 93'???? Does it work diff with VSS then the 94's???....or is it just the fuel stuff etc including MAF.
