Re: BB Engine Swap Header

I'm about to swap the 498 into the camaro again. Will probably end up going with hooker swap headers . Wanted to post up and keep this thread alive!
Taking the motor out of the '74 corvette because I just can't bare to see my
camaro just sitting there .

I was right to the point but it wasn't headers but oil and tranny pans that smash. The headers just got scuffed..

No big deal though, I was able to grind away part of the mount and make the clearance adjustment (took about 10 minutes). I will include pics of this too. Been working 60 hours a week and have not had a chance to take the pics or work on the car for that matter. Hopefully this weekend. I am documenting each mod and tracking the time to complete so I can pass on some accurate info. to anyone who wants to go this route.

Re: BB Engine Swap Header

Just an update, patriot closed up shop and then re-opened under promaxx performance. no clue if they are gonna continue to make the headers but jegs still has them.

also the patriot headers aren't meant for angle plug heads. i toasted a few boots before i realized this. i'm putting some multi-angle terminals on to see what i can come up with. i'll re post about how that goes.
heres the promaxx contact info

Re: BB Engine Swap Header

The Patriot H8012s that started this thread are now showing up on Summit's website for $210. But Hedman lists some shorties for $180, HED-68610. The pic doesn't show the tail end of the passenger side, but I'm tempted to try these, now that I'm trying to run a 7400 Vortec in my '86 for the next couple of years. I'm definitely going with the Moroso mounts, 62510 & 62610.
