Corvette, F-body,B-body LT1's whats the diff?

I was wondering what the difference in the LT1's in each of these vehicles if i remember correctly HP #'s are 260(B-body) 275(F-body) and 305 for the Vette. and i know the B-body's dont have Aluminum heads and exhaust and maybe computer calibration has somewhat to do with it, and i think i read something about cam differences. well my brother has a B-body LT1 and i was wondering if i can get stock/aftermarket parts that are like the vette components and run it on his B-body? whats the difference?

Vette and F-bod LT1's were identical in almost every way. The Vettes got 4 bolt mains whereas the F-bods got 2. The heads, cam, and intake were identical. The F-bod's were conservativly rated as to not best or equal the vette numbers. The vette had a better stock exaust but aftermarket parts take care of that. The B-body LT1's had iron heads and a smaller cam. The heads can flow as well as the aluminum ones but people opt for the imense weight savings of the later. Make sure he doesn't have the baby LT1. The LT1 changed a bit through the years with cam sized and OBD1 to OBDII. A quick search will tell you the differences on those.

You may want to edit your post and not say you are working on a b-body. Chaces are it will get locked for lack of 3rd gen content.

He ran the car and with flowmaster mufflers and the resonators at the end of the exhaust taken off and ran a 15.16 the rest was completely stock he didnt take the air filter out or remove the air box or anything. but anyways i just wanted to know the difference so the only difference between the 260hp B-body and the 305hp Corvette is the cam and heads and a little bit different exhaust profile his is a 95 with 250k miles on it it was an ex police car then taxi then he owns it now. but i kind of thing this post is going to be locked as well but at least people can know the differences between the different formats so if my brother gets a corvette cam and Heads he should be rated in the 275-300hp range at the Flywheel. plus some other things he might want to do like gears and converter. but is there any computer differences between the corvette/f-body and the B-body's?
