dropping in a l98

well i crahsed my '88 trans am gta and think ive found a good '86 trans am with no engine and a 5 speed trans in it. im gunna gamble a little here and i think im gunna buy it. i want to pull the engine out of my crashed GTA and throw it in this one. ive never dropped in an engine though. you guys think i can do it? i got a few very knowledgeable friends who can guide me (on of which has dropped and pulled a few engines by himself) and would the 5 speed fit up without any problems? i heard tpi's could be a PITA...thanks

If they know what they're doing, it shouldn't be to difficult.

Unfortunately it's something that can be explained easily on the internet, you just have to do it. Watch and learn. Experience is the tool you need here, and it sounds like you're lucky enough to have friends with some.

"YOU CAN DO IT, MAN!!!!" :lala:

Yes it will bolt right up, and if you happened to get the 86 flywheel, that should be the one you need,(with the counter balance for a 1pc. Rear main seal). for your 88 block..
