GM Performance Parts ''Base'' 350 HO Crate Engine
i was thinkin bout getting the GM Performance Parts ''Base'' 350 HO
and it says it produces 330 hp, it dosent have a carb, manifold, dristriuter and stuff, i was wondering how much hp i could expect to see if i put a tpi setup on it.

With a TPI you will have about 250 HP or less . That engine was Dyno'd on a engine stand with a Carb and no Drivetrain loss calulated. So don't look for that high of a number.

The only TPI base available for Vortec heads (to the best of my knowledge) comes from Scoogin-Dickey, a dealer in Lubbock, Texas. Here's their site for the base http://www.sdpc2000.com/htm/vortec_tpi.html . They were at 300 with aftermarket runners and otherwise stock TPI setup (they don't say that on this site, but the use of aftermarket runners was confessed in a magazine article about a year ago). Took a cam and rocker change to get up to the carb 330 HP value (note the use of the electric water pump on the dyno - cheaters!).
