Tbi To Carberated ?? Help!!

here is the situation i am swaping out a motor in a 90 rs camaro

it already has hedder and true dule exaust

he just bought a 383 4 it and a preformer intake with a holly carb(not a dubble pumper)

we will run new fuel lines and a side mounted fule pump on block

here inlies the problem the electric fuel pump is in the fuel tank now and we need to sitch it out so the block mounted pump will work but how??

or would it be easer to buy a fuel tank out of a caberated car and switch them over? if so are all 3rd gen tanks the same?

thanks for you replies chris

There's an article under "Technical Articles" section that's on the homepage of this really cool website ---> www.thirdgen.org

Just look under "Swapping from EFI to a Carb in a Thirdgen" under the "Carbs/F.I." section.

In that article, it says that switching to a carb will make it so the torque convert will not lock up. Is this true?

That's true, but all you need is this (or something similar) .....
Click on pic

It only locks up the TQ in 4th gear, but it's better than nothing.
