305 TPI to 350 TPI
I have a 1990 Formula with the 305 TPI and 5 speed. I am thinking of upgrading to a 350 , but want to keep the TPI. The 305 has 165,000 miles and runs OK. Is it worth rebuilding or is it worth swapping to a 350, what 350 should i use and how much modifying would i need to do to the computer controled items? Would I be able to keep the 5 speed?

305 and 350 flywheels are the same, the only issue is the rear main seal. Thats based on the year, not the cubic inches. You need a one piece rear main seal 350 if you dont want to replace the flywheel. That'd be 87-up. Some 86's on the 350's had a 2 piece rear main (pickups mostly) so 87 up is a safe bet.
