I'm going with the HT383 from GM Performance Parts. $3700.Check it out . Also checkout Chevy High Performance (the Twister series), they got 449HP and 480+ Ft/Lbs with the vortec heads (they did change the cam).

All NEW (not reconditioned) parts in the crate motor, not an over-bore (leaves options in the future), I don't have a machine shop in my garage and I don't really want to build one. That motor is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I've looked into building my own, and I just think that this will be a much better option for me.

Want to save a little money and have the motor built to your spec plus get a 3 year / 36,000 warranty?
Look into the performance engines from Recon.
Read up on what they do and you can have one built too!
The engine will take some time for them to build, and it is built by ONE tech. Might be something to look into.

LOL not yet! Everyone including myself wants me to do it, but I still want to get my rear end fixed up before I actually take it to the track and get the dyno done. Once those things are done I will give everyone the actual figures.
She's running great! But I still want to beef up the rear end before I go to the track or have the dyno done. Not too far in the future guys!
