Concidering a 391 stroker motor and a few ?'s
I was thinking of a 391 stroker motor and I just need a few facts of the motor itself. What makes a 391 stroker? Am I looking at any more power out of a 391 vs a 383.

most likely it has an overbored 350 block (.030 or .040)and a specially ground crank of 3.82-3.85.special pistons to compensate for the increased stroke. Depending on the alloy used it could be quite expensive. 383's are plentiful and fairly cheap compared to a 391,396,401,etc.

a 391 has the same crank as a 383, but the rod jornals are machined to accepte 327 rods, so u end up with a longer arm.
They say it revs like a smaller engine, with the torque of a 383.
sounds interesting to me !
