engine swap question

if i was just going to replace my chev 305 with a chev 350, and stay with the carb setup, that would be farly simple right? just going from carb to carb.. is there any little things i should watch out for before picking up that 350? or is it mearly take out drop in situation..?

thanks for the reply. so would you know by any chance what rear main seal would be on my 82TA with the lg4 305? and how difficult would it be to change between main seals from 2-1 or vise versa? engine swaping is new to me, so please bear with me here. hehe

You have a two piece. You don't have to change the rear mains, just get a swap your flexplate if you get a two piece 350 or just buy a flexplate for a one piece if you get a one piece motor.
