The above number are incorrect. I found the right numbers:3815822...348...forged...3.25" stroke and
3815822..265,283,302.forged..small journal....3.00" stroke
Now how do I know which one is correct. this crank has .020 Journals and modification was made to this engine before I bought it. When I first found the engine an old lady was selling her husband that had left her and wanted $200 to get the car out of her yard. I seen the Camel hump heads and thought it was a orginal 327. Then later found out by checking the numbers it was a 283. So how could I determine which crank is the right choice my guess would be the short stroke.

3815822 was used from 1955-67 in 265 and 283 engines. It's a forged crank with small journals. Both engines used a 3" stroke. They didn't start making large journal cranks for 302's until 1968. My guess is that you have a 283. Not good for anything except to collectors.
