Re: WTB 165 ECM known to work!
I believe there was a problem with the original GM 165 ECM which was fixed in the reman ones.
ANY electronic equipment could go boom at anytime.

Re: WTB 165 ECM known to work!
No offense rockit, the cars were running when I parted them out.
How are you going to prove that someone pre-tested it????
I could have said I could test it again and you would have no way of knowing.
Buying on the internet is always an unknown.

I usually don't sell electronic parts because I have no idea if the car its going into has other issues that could mess up the part I sold them.

Re: WTB 165 ECM known to work!
i've been saving gas driving my lil truck around probably should have been pursuing this harder, lol.
in anycase, a new one is 120$, roughly. yours is 60 shipped, since you can't confirm if it's working or not that's a pretty steep price, because by the time i find a second one and pay 60~(if yours fails) i could have bought a gaurunteed working one. Now we all know you could have lied about it but i find alot of wrench heads don't want to screw over others as they themselves don't want to be screwed. knowing however that the 165 CAN go "boom" whenever, i'd much prefer one pulled from a running driving car.
if you have a more aggressive price, pm me about it, and thanks for checking back

Re: WTB 165 ECM known to work!
You mean reman. is roughly $120 plus shipping.
1/2 price is the general rule for used parts unless rare, discontinued etc.
I have a friend that has a 89 350 TPI IROC that I could test it on but he lives 60 miles away round trip and the car runs but no insurance or tags.
Thats gas and my time to test it again for you for $50???????????? Not worth it. I have sold over 15 ECM in the past and never had 1 come back as bad.
Spend the $120 plus for the reman. one because its going to be hard for you to verify that the seller tested it and to find one locally.
Good luck

Re: WTB 165 ECM known to work!
I have a 7165 ECM I will sale. Known to work out of my running 89 GTA 5-speed with a 305. No prom included. It works fine except 1-glitch with Craig Moates software, it wouldn't let me datalog. I swapped it out with another I have and was able to datalog. This 1 for sale is a Reman. Original Equipment. That was the only difference between the 2 ECMs I have, and possibly something to do with the datalogging problem. Otherwise it runs like a champ.
$50 or make offer.
