T5 electronic VSS, Can't find new anywhere
I tried rockauto, and partsamerica, both sent me emails days later letting me know that it wasn't available. This was after the guy at partsamerica told me his supplier showed one. Anyway, if anyone has an electronic vss, and will guarantee it to work, let me know. I'd rather not buy a mechanical speedo. thanks

When I put my T5 in, I just went to Advance Auto and they had one. I had to special order it but I had it the next day. I don't remember the part number but I could look at home tonight if I can find the receipt.
In the worst case, you could always go to a stealership.

I went to advance auto, and they told me it was only available online. I should call back, but I think i'm going to just get it from Mike. I went to their website online and they can't get it anymore, after the guy told me it was available. It was part number sc7 with the d9e stamping I think.
I went to a pontiac dealership a while back, and the guy was useless, he said they didn't have digital speedos in 88, and he couldn't find anything. He also told me the hydraulic clutch setups changed over the years for the third gen. I love when someone tries to tell you you're wrong, but you know you're right.

Have you tried calling The Transmission Center or looking at GMpartsDirect.com?
I think my sensor looks like the SC40. I paid maybe $70 for it. Can't really remember.

Just found the GM parts number: 10456087.
Call the stealership (Chevy or Pontiac, wherever you can find a person with a brain) and you can order it through them. I found the invoice, it was $60.

No I haven't tried either, but I will. Now you got me worried. I just looked at the sc40 and it looks like it would work. How do I know if I need the one that says sc7 or the sc40? I have no idea, I hope one didn't send a different signal to the buffer box. I thought there was only one vss for the electronic speedos. They want 170 for that on parts america, but I will check others. thank you

I found it on rockauto for 90, I just want to find out which one I need.

I just found a GP sorensen part number 7799538 for even cheaper. I'm going to probably try that, but if it doesn't work, I will buy the other one from Mike.
