LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

Does your third gen have ugly, useless drum brakes? Are you tired of praying you won't rear end the guy in front of you as you brake heading towards a stop sign? Do you want to gain horsepower and torque by painting your rear brakes bright red? Well look no further, because I have everything you need to upgrade your 9/10 bolt rear to PBR aluminum disk brakes! I have the e brake cables, brackets, most hardware, calipers, caliper brackets, and nearly new slotted rotors and brake pads. And the biggest thing, the brake backing plates. Everything is in great shape, and can be shipped to your door or picked up/ delivered locally. I am in shoreline Connecticut, the overall setup is about 65lbs. And my zip is 06443. I want to get 250 plus shipping for everything listed, and get a 30 discount if picked up locally , but I'm negotiable. Feel free to post here or PM me for questions, details or offers. The only missing hardware is one of the eight backing plate bolts, the caliper bracket to backing plate bolts, and nothing else. Also, one E brake cable has a tear in the rubber surround viewable in the pictures, but functionally still works fine. I will post a link to a detailed thread telling you how to go about performing this upgrade.
Thanks, Dylan

Also, here a guide to doing this swap yourself, it's as easy as cutting, lining up the backing plates, and drilling four holes

Back up for sale, 250 plus shipping. I don't want to ship though, so I can work with you on the price more if you are local.

Good to know, thank you. I am just worried about the weight of the items breaking through the carboard. Right now it is all sitting in a box wrapped in cardboard and newspaper, which is in another box with a layer of newspaper padding between

Edit: This actually might not fit, my upgrade also has rotors and e brake cables which yours didn't have

Re: LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

I see that there is/was interest.....do you still have this, and which parts aren't included...what year car is this off of? are all of the pads with it, or just 3 and one front?. I'm afraid I'm not close enough to stop in, but am interested in putting this on my 84 Z

Hey Mike,
It is from a 1998, has all four rear brake pads. I still have it and it includes everything in the description above. I need money now so I would be willing to ship to you

Re: LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

I will get back to you tomorrow (Wed). I just got in from a pretty long day. I will take it, but it does need to go to Greenville, Tx. 75401.....any problems? You can ship the stuff in more than one container if you need.

Re: LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

Did I chase you off? I can afford to take time with this...the car isn't on the road at the moment. Redoing the suspension, and the drive train. Still, I'd like to get this piece lined up/

Re: LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

So, we'd be looking at 325?....I would like you to check on putting the discs in a separate box. Makes it easier to keep stuff from banging around. How do you use the PM service? I'd like to do the rest of this business there. I'd like to keep the address out of the lime lite! :-)

Re: LS1 PBR Rear Brake Complete Upgrade

$325 is a hell of deal. I just paid $800 for a kit from www.flynbye.com Granted my kit is all new parts and complete but still. $325 is unbeatable.
