Paxton SN2000 V-belt supercharger w/ intercooler & MSD

Looking to sell my Paxton SN2000 supercharger off my 87 Iroc. Included is supercharger with upgraded impellor, brackets, Paxton/MSD 6A BTM box with boost controller, 42lb injectors, intercooler with piping (intercooler isn't pretty based on where it was installed but still functional, see build thread) and oil cooler with pump. Switching gears and going to go N/A for now and would like the money to focus on other aspects of the car and probably go turbo in the future. Unit was on car when I bought it but doesn't suit the MiniRam well, better suited for TPI car. Prior owner installed SC when he still had the 305. These units are limited to about 35,000 RPMS (approx. 5500 engine RPMS) and better suited for TPI, Superram, etc with lower RPM band. MSD has always had a 5500 RPM Rev limiting chip in it, however, I upgraded the cam with my engine rebuild that will prefer a 5800 - 6000 shift point. SC hasn't been reinstalled since rebuild. Check out my build thread for all the details, bought car with blown head gasket and slowly putting it back together although I did drive car when I bought it. I was told mileage on SC is approx. 20K but was rebuilt with upgraded impellor within last 5-10K when zz4 was installed. Post 11 of my build thread has video from prior owner of car running: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...ml#post5459759
Looking for $1200 shipped.

EDIT: Thought I should add that this made between 5 & 6 psi with the intercooler, miniram & 200CC RHS heads. On a milder 305 or 350 this unit could make up to 8 psi but that's about the max. Can work with buyer on price if they don't need/want the intercooler stuff or injectors.

"Are these actual pictures of the unit?"
Yes, actual pics of unit and system on my car before removed.

"Is the unit capable of 9 psi boost"
Not sure if it'll hit 9lbs...8 is max although with upgraded impellor and you having a 305, a little more may be possible. Paradise Wheels who now owns the rights to these older Paxtons is working on a VR4 upgrade that will be capable of 12-14psi and higher RPM's for around $6-700. Kit is currently in production but not yet available.

"What parts are you including?"
It's all listed in my posting above....Included is supercharger with upgraded impellor, brackets, Paxton/MSD 6A BTM box with boost controller, 42lb injectors, intercooler with piping (intercooler isn't pretty based on where it was installed but still functional, see build thread) and oil cooler with pump.

"I have a a 5.0 tpi firebird- do you know if new brackets are required for install"
If your car is a v-belt car, no new brackets needed.

Re: Paxton SN2000 V-belt supercharger w/ intercooler & MSD

Where is the intercooler-
was it worth the extra piping?
what hp gain ? with total system and what portion from intercooler

my car has the serpentine belt- my ac compressor is in the location of the sc

I have seen other pics of the sn2000 on the driver side of the engine without intercooler plus i just purchased paxton install instructions. Can the sc mounting be rotated about 120 degrees to allow a "s" pipe intake

Do you have the 2 piece "s" pipe intake?

The intercooler was mounted under the nose with a scoop to help suck up the air (scoop was really beat up b/c so low to the ground so I trashed it), however, for the firebirds and the slant of their nose, similar mountings seem to be the only way to install a FMI. (I've attached some pics of it before I removed it)

No idea how much the intercooler added as I didn't build the car. Previous owner went 12.20 with the 355, big heads (200cc), cam and an off the shelf chip (i.e. no real tune). With a better matched setup and tune, should have been faster I think. Based on car weight and e.t. combo was making at least 450hp.

As far as "s" pipe, are you referring to the pipe from the tb to the sc? If so, no I don't have it although someone had that piece on here a while back I believe so they're out there. The head unit can rotate, there's no difference in the head unit between the different versions as there are mutliple mounting positions. I'm not sure the compatability of the brackets though with a serpentine setup.

I'm willing to work on price some if you feel you don't need the tubing and also, if you have a 305, you definitely don't need the 42lb injectors.

Re: Paxton SN2000 V-belt supercharger w/ intercooler & MSD

Can you send more pictures on the sn 2000 itself- specifically the discharge position

I probably wont go with the inter cooler- what is the best price ?

I am waiting for an install guide i purchased on ebay 2 days ago to see what components i need for the complete install before i can make an offer

For sure your kit is missing the bracket and. "S" so i need to call paradise to see how much if they still sell them

I have a pdf of the manual, PM me your email and I can send it to you.

I'm pretty sure all of the brackets are different for the serpentine setup. Don't have any pics of the back of my unit right now as I'm at work but did find a couple of the VR4 which has the same discharge position. If you look at the pics of the head unit it in my original post of this thread, you'll see the holes around the perimeter allowing for multiple mounting positions.

Possibly, won't be heartbroken if it doesn't sell as we'll eventually get the VR4 conversions but just bought a F.A.S.T. system and have some other areas I want to focus on the car so this would help give me some extra funds.

Apparently this is not something that can be taken out with a new a PROM?

Any thoughts or ideas, anyone.........??

I really like the look of the tpi and like the look of added sc but if I am only going to get a 30% increase it doesn't seem like it is worth it.........?

That's a question better suited in the PowerAdder Section...
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/power-adder/

You can swap to the 749/730 ecm and run the cylclone/typhoon code that is designed to run with boost.

Also, FWIW, 30% on 210hp is 63 more hp...for around a grand, that's good bang for the buck I think.
