Brand new Lloyd Elliott camshaft
Or...confessions of an idiot.
I have been collecting parts for my 383 build and I had ordered a new 223/230 cam and placed it for safekeeping. So safe that when I went to find and install it here last month I could not find it! So I had Lloyd make me another one, and of course low and behold I then found the original one! So now it is for sale.
Here is what Lloyd told me about this cam when I purchased it.
"That cam sounds about like what you need. It is mild enough to pass emissions and still make some good power for you.
The actual cam specs are 223/230 .565/.565 112 LSA.
The lobes that I use are asymmetrical and open a lot more aggressive than they close so they remain stable at high RPM but still fill and empty the cylinders better than a symmetric lobe that opens and closes at the same rate.
These lobes are 276/281 advertised duration, 223/230 @ .050 duration and 147/153 @ .200 duration. These are some pretty stout lobes that make real good power considering they are only 223/230 @ .050."
It is brand new in the box. Only opened for inspection. $250 shipped to your door.

Is the .565 lift with 1.5 or 1.6 rockers?
Did they give you an RPM range for the cam?

That is pretty much on the money. Lloyd told me if I have good heads it should keep me pinned in the seat until about 6200 RPM.

Sounds pretty comparable to the Lingenfelter 219. Is that what you was aiming for because I've been seriously considering the 219 or something close for my 383 cam swap?
This cam seems a little more aggressive though.
What stall and CR are you running with this cam?

Re: Brand new Lloyd Elliott camshaft
I am running 11.5 in an LT1 and an Edge 9" 3000 RPM converter.
Are you are referring to the 219/219 Lingenfelter single pattern cam? If so I actually ran a desktop dyno with that cam vs this one. The bottom end power is nearly identical, at 3500 RPM the Elliott cam starts to pull away, eventually makes 40 more HP, and holds on an additional 500 RPM. I think it is just a newer more modern camshaft.
I just replaced a 213/219 Lingenfelter with this cam so I am a big fan of both these guys, I just thought this one was better all around

Its a roller cam. You can use it in a SBC with roller lifters or an LT1. I believe you could use it but would have to upgrade to roller lifters to do it. A bit cost prohibitive I would think.
