Axle/Gears: 3.42, Dana44 3.45, 3.23
XR-288HR10 (12-433-8) cam RETROFIT hyd roller

Like the title says, comp cams hydraulic roller XR-288HR10 camshaft. This is on a small (1.050") base circle for rod clearance. Like new, couple hours of run time. I'd like to get $200 plus actual shipping or best offer. These are over $300 new.

Camshaft Part # 12-433-8 Grind # XR288HR-10
Duration @ 0.006": 288° / 294° Duration @ 0.050": 236° / 242°
Max Lift w/ 1.5RR: .520" / .540" Lobe Separation: 110°
Lobe ID#'s: 3316 / 3317 Intake Centerline: 106°

How would this cam perform matched up with a set of vortec heads?

The 10 degree split wouldn't be bad on vortecs, a guy on another forum dyno'd at 458hp with the xr288hr and vortec heads on a 10.5:1 engine.

Are YOUR vortec heads set up to handle that much lift? He's running 986-16 springs.

Also it's a retrofit roller cam for older (pre 86) blocks, not an OE roller cam.

The heads are not setup for that much lif yet but there's a guy in Methuen who can do it for cheap money. Would this cam fit in a post 86 block?

Yep. NX276HR. 224/236, 113lsa. Was like $400 shipped.

You need the early non roller cam timing set ( cam gear has different bolt pattern ) and a cam button
