What does it do exactly?
Can it convert electronic trans speed output to run a cable speedo?

Check out this one..you can see both plugs on the sensor. (ie you can run a cable speedo and have the 4 pulse signal at the same time for your TPI)

Read this post to determine which sensor (black or white) you need according to sensor drive gear teeth.

Hmm...interesting. I'll have to check it out and see what the ls computer is. But I thought any tuner and program what pulse signal you want?
I definitely need one though, kinda sucks not having a working speedo lol.

Will this work for my TPI with T56? So I don't have to buy that stupid converter?

Re: SC53 VSS (speed sensor)units on Ebay $25
I get it. It can turn a cable driven speedo AND an electric speedo.
Does this make sense:
If you swapped an LS1+T56 into your car, you would pop this into your T56. The stock cable driven speedo can still be used because this has the provision. You can hook the stock T56 speed sensor connector into this also to signal to the ECU. If it is at 4000 pulses, you should be able to just tune the ECU out like you would when you change rear gears.
Is the above correct? If so, that's very useful...
