Single Garrett 76mm Turbo setup built for thirdgen
I started a single setup in my Iroc, but plans have changed.
I have a Garret 76mm Turbo, .96AR that is brand new. It has a T6 mount turbine inlet, 5" turbine outlet.
I have a 25"x12 intercooler and a 3" polished cold side piping kit.
I have modified some ebay headers for a thirdgen, the turbo sits in the stock battery location. All that is needed is a crossover pipe made from the driverside header.
You will need a wastegate and BOV for whatever size motor/boost level you decide on, and the oil lines.
I'm asking around $900obo. I'd be willing to trade on an EFI setup with harness, ECM for my 383. Also be willing to look at some trade on rims like BMW or corvette with tires as long as they'll bolt up to a thirdgen. I have this locally on Craigslist as well.

Will you separate or are you looking to sell the kit?

Here's some pic of the headers.
No, I'm not interested in splitting it up at this time. Sorry.

I understand.
If you find a buyer for the turbo and headers I would be interested in making an offer on some or all of the cold side.

Re: Single Garrett 76mm Turbo setup built for thirdgen
No thanks.
I've had alot of interest in the headers. I'd like to sell this complete as of now. I may sell just the headers if this doesn't sell later, and maybe do a rear mount setup if I can't move this.
FYI, the turbo was $980 back in the spring brand new so I'll find something to use it on before I take a huge loss.

Re: Single Garrett 76mm Turbo setup built for thirdgen
Would it work on a 355 or is just not enough motor for this size turbo?
Thanks

It depends how good the motor flows on the exhaust side, and how much boost you want to make.
pm me if you want to go into more info.

Re: Single Garrett 76mm Turbo setup built for thirdgen
why not? I want a setup for up to 550hp or a 70 mm T03/T04 style turbo with a/r of .78-.96 then it should work well on this 305 TPI, I mean same thickness cylinder walls, rods, crank, intake, its just smaller pistons, just like a import, strap a turbo on run 12psi+ and put out 450+ easy on pumpgas.
I have an extra 9th injector, an extra windshield washer pump and bottle, I'm thinking running some 33% nitro, extra fuel, and I can "Technically" double my power, and its still easier running continous power, than a 100+ shot for one run, so I'm likely going to try it without worry of breaking stuff. Its a lot cheaper than spray, you can use it for a weekend or a day or as often as you want, just sayin "Ain't nothin beats a V8!"
