Re: EFI carb style highrise single plane intake
intake can take either bolt hole arrangement, injectors you can use the standard ev1 style, thats what i was using, i ran 38lb svo injectors (still have them - in the pic is stock 24lb lt1's)with a gen 6 dfi setup in my camaro,,,with a 406ci pumpgas motor, pretty well ported afr 195's and solid roller cam, car ran 10.3 @ 131mph on motor, car is full weight. When i upgraded from the tpis miniram to this intake, the motor woke up and ran so much cleaner.

Re: EFI carb style highrise single plane intake
Not throwing rocks but they have these polished for $169 or so on ebay the last time I looked. Best price shipped to 72104 and what will I need to run it in place of a stealth ram on a heavely ported brodix track 1 406 motor?

Re: EFI carb style highrise single plane intake
Hey no problem, but i looked and the standard hurricane intake for carb is $165, polished for $210,,,,this intake is the super hurricane setup for EFI. I kinda thought $200 ship was more then a fair price for something that out performs all the high dollar stuff like the MR, HSR and any TPI setup,,,if i'm wrong on the pricing let me know and i'll adjust my price.
There are a few ways you can go about installing this, one is using a 4brl TB, or getting an 90deg elbow and using a single LS style TB or the way i went was i used a 2 to 4 brl adapter and cut out the center to use my 1300cfm mono blade TB (mounted the TB upward) i can take pics of that if your interested.

Re: EFI carb style highrise single plane intake
I was wanting to swap heads to 15 degree to get somewhere where you are. Maybe a -12 brodix head or something with a functional cowl hood and 69Z air cleaner which would be an old school look. I would like to keep the factory speed density TPI set-up and also use a 4l80e I just bought. It might be easier to go LS7 or 434 but I already have a good 406 and I know my track1s and ported holley stealth ram at 305CFM will only go so far while the LS cars are breathing over 350 CFM. I have a ford 9 already installed with a 375 gear and detroit locker and 31 spline axles so I just have to get the motor figured out. How much horsepower do you have and what suspension do you have?

Re: EFI carb style highrise single plane intake
I wouldn't go with 15deg or 18deg stuff, its a bit pricey and if the car isn't a full blown race car, no need for it,,,you need different pistons, rockers, lifters and so on. A really good set of heads, good cam and suspension thats setup will get you there. I was making around 650hp on motor. I'm also using the southside setup on my car with 4.10 gears.
