I have a set of Smog-legal Edelbrock brand headers for 82-92 F-body's and matching Y-pipe for SBC and they'll also work on an LT1.

They're the same as these:

They just don't look as clean, they have surface rust like all used headers do, no leaks, bends, cracks, etc..

Summit, says these are for 82-87 firebird and camaro. I'm going to call them and ask if the'll fit my 1988 formula 350 or not. I'm very interested if that's the case. Hit you up again soon. Also, are they still available? Thanks

 

I'm not sure why they say 82-87 only. The car that these came off of when I bought them was a 91-92 Camaro with a 305TBI. I had them on an LG4 as well, I don't see why they wouldn't fit.

 

I don't think these headers will work for a late model TPI engine, looks like 82-87 and carb engines, these have the Carb heating device.

If they were for TPI, I would be interested in buying.

You do have to watch out for Carb vs TBI vs TPI headers, however. Carb and TBI headers have THERMAC and/or Carb-heating devices that wont be there on TPI headers. However, the manufacturers in their infinite wisdom usually make the Carb/TBI headers and y-pipes smaller, so you want the TPI versions anyway. This will require some customization on your part to get your stock stuff to fit.

 

Those don't look like the kind for tpi though. Those are tbi headers.

 

Well, I think they would be fine on a stock TPI engine, but apparently werent 'made' for that. They definitely work great on carb'd and TBI engines, though!
