shipping id imagine would be in the 150/175ish range with my discounts.
id be willing to meet halfway for the cost of fuel as well{i like road trips}, shows you are roughly 750 miles each way.

Re: Rare 3.45 posi aussie 9 bolt, with the large aluminum pbr brakes
it works great, its just the last "weak link" that i know of in my driveline, only reason for sale is to go 9 inch.
It comes 100% complete, i think i need to keep the ebrake cables though for my new rear?
Zionsville is about 140 miles from me, im sure with an extra pair of helping hands it could be pulled in 30 minutes or so.
Let me know!

I'm trying to figure out where you get the 'rare' or '1 year only' from.....
9-bolts ran from 87-92.
All 89-92 had the aluminum PBR calipers & larger discs than the 87 & 88 9-bolt discs.
You want 'rare'? Find a drum braked 9-bolt! Not exactly a really desirable item, but by the numbers? Rare.

I'll give it to you, that 3.45s are 'rare' (less common), but everything about the rest of the rear from 89-92.
I see 3.27 9-bolts left & right all day, for as low as $100. 3.45s are only a gear swap away & you'd have brand new gears not 20 years worth of use on them.
Good luck. I wasn't trying to shoot down your sale here. I just hate seeing the word rare thrown around so easily, when often times it turns out that the item isn't actually rare.

but like i said, a factory 3.45 geared rear, with a posi that works great, and makes NO noise...is a rare thing these days.
ive had TONS of interest so far, but nothing concrete, im a little negotiable pricewise to those interested.
it has its worth with those looking for a better ratio, or those looking to do a resto and wanting 100% GM parts...

Re: Rare 3.45 posi aussie 9 bolt, with the large aluminum pbr brakes
it is exactlly an 1 year only rear it's the only year where you can get an 9 bolt posi with the aluminum pbr calipers and 12 inch disc brakes by far the best option rear for our cars, it's rarer than the 90-92 10 boltrs with 3.42 rear so if someone out there has an 89 1le car or looking for an numbers matching rear you better hop on this these don't come around often or at all,
bye the way bump for a great deal !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Rare 3.45 posi aussie 9 bolt, with the large aluminum pbr brakes
I thought the 9 bolt was first used in 85? My 85 originally had a 9 bolt 3.08 non-posi aluminum drum rear end in it.... not trying to hi-jack the post, consider it a bump! Too bad your not in Buffalo, NY area or I would make a reasonable offer!
